I give you permission to be

The person you never knew

The one shut up inside you

Not daring to make a move

But now that’s all gone away

And you’ve got to try again

You can be the very best you

If you want for it to be so.

I’m not saying it will be easy

Or you won’t find it hard to try

But the path of rediscovery

Is there for you to try it.

Do you want to laugh aloud?

Bring a smile to another’s face?

I give you permission to do so

Because I know you deserve it.
