Anika’s Pick of the Week

Coming up to Easter, as you know, is a very precious time for Christians.  Established at what is now called “The Last Supper” before Christ’s death and resurrection, was as the Jewish Passover was going on.  And the remembrance of these important events are the bedrock of Christianity.

Now, I don’t think I mentioned before that it was something that the late Queen Elizabeth II wanted to share with her subjects to bring them comfort during the awful Covid restrictions.  She wanted people to remember the message of promise of Easter Hope whether they celebrated it or not.

And I agree with her.  It is so easy to forget that Spring is a reminder of renewal or new life.  The whole of creation comes to life or shows us the promise it will.

So new life, new days, new babies, new buds appearing and animals having their young too.
