Relationships

Can I be honest here?  I have had relationships with friends where I have or haven’t done something, the move to Scotland and other factors.  Now admittedly Covid REALLY didn’t help when we were all in our own spaces.

Some days I have to explain to Johnathan WHY children do what they do.  Well, I don’t want to use psychiatry or anything, but there is the problem, the other children are all what I would deem to be acquainting level.  He does have ONE friend who is what I would regard as a friend.

There are different levels of relationship, and you know that is true!  You can be an individual in a crowd (like the one at the Welcome to University Life when I got there.  When I reached it and saw all those people in their gowns. I could quite easily have picked up my bags and RAN!  However, I had chosen to sit up front so the number of students didn’t overwhelm me, but then the Welcome Committee scared me even more! 

I am glad I stayed and got a degree in the end.  It was hard work and I had to read more than I ever wrote in school (I think that’s probably not true) but it certainly FELT like it.  And I saved my dissertation on ONE machine and the C/main drive corrupted THE NIGHT BEFORE I was due to have it completed and handed in.  I spoke to the tutor who gave me another two days.

Any relationship – even a tutor to a student can be complicated and factors come in to affect those relationships.  So it’s best to try to understand what factors may or may not come in to play that impacted your relationship together.
