Living in Peace

Do you know when you’re anxious peace does not come easily?  You can feel the rising tide and are fully aware that you are not peaceful in the slightest.  Anxiety is an awkward friend that leads you down a path leading to things like hyperventilation and panic.

I was actually given an example of this very thing the other day by the deputy of the school with Johnathan this week.  In the very first episode of Johnathan thinking he had lost his jacket and the head came to help him find it.  The hall was busy with lots of children and so the head said to him this was NOT really  a time to look because it was so full.

The deputy told me that you could see the anxiety rise and the panic beginning to form while they waited for children to depart.  Eventually they found the jacket on his peg in the corridor of the classroom.

Next day, he put his jacket on a chair in the school dining room and was unable to locate it and the panic started.  Then he remembered that the head had said that he needed to look when there was SPACE to see so he waited and discovered where he had left it.

So I believe this is an absolutely perfect example of being anxious and the fact that if you can hold onto your  “Sanity” (for want of another word) if someone shows you how to not panic but just stand in peace  this helps you cope with it.
