Lifeglider

i  don’t know if I’ve told you but with my falls it’s got very frustrating because I know I need to do some kind of exercising but if I do so, I basically have a fall.  And there hasn’t appeared to be any answer to this dilemma, because there isn’t any alternative - or so I thought, unitl this morning.

Kevin came back from dropping Johnathan at school and said that he had found something called a Lifeglider when he was watching something else for another reason and came across a woman talking about it and he thought it would be perfect for me.

Well, I watched the video and was astonished to find that there actually seems to be an answer for my difficulties.  So I called the number online and spoke to a lady to see if someone could come and give me a demonstration if they did them in Scotland.  They do, so Andy is coming to ours to show it to me and let me try it out.

I am truly thankful and grateful Kevin found this video by accident although this product has only been on the market a short time.  He said something like a month, but that could just be the UK.  I do believe it was first created in the USA, but it looks truly amazing and I am going to be very interested in seeing how it helps and what it does.

The great thing about this is you don’t have to use your hands because there is a seatbelt around you that holds you steady, it’s a sturdy frame and you can fold it away flat - for car journeys or even, I guess to pack away if you don’t need it for whatever reason - I guess maybe a restaurant or something.

Do you know if this actually WORKS, not only myself but many others around  the world could be helped by this mobility aid?  It will give great freedom to those who have ended up almost hidden.  Of course, with it being a walker AND strapped to you, it means you still can’t do stairs, but quite frankly I haven’t done them for years now anyway!

Well, I must admit, last January when I got concussion apparently the walker went sideways and I went with it.  I don’t know because I didn’t know what happened.  Mary, Kevin’s Mum said she was watching me and that was what happened..  So if this really does prevent falls, it’s going to change my life for the better very quickly.
