Do you ever make a mistake? What do you do?
Well, this morning I woke needing to go to the bathroom. Then I realised Kevin was still in bed and it was 8.10 in the morning. And it was Friday or Monday, he would be leaving Johnathan at home?
Anyway it was a bit of confusion and I believed Kevin had overslept (not that he does that often). So I quickly woke him up and he turned to me and he asked me if I realised it was Sunday and he didn’t need to get up yet?!
I immediately apologised because I was clearly mistaken in this case and he needs as much sleep as he can get with the new job he is grappling with. He has written so much and done so much and I am just amazed at the expertise he is showing to this new company.
But if it was someone you employed? If you made a mistake would you admit it to them or still continue to carry on? Do you give them any hint that you have made an error?
Now, I know of course that EVERYONE in the world has made mistakes or done wrong things (excepting God, of courses). I guess another thing to look at would be if you would admit it to either yours or someone else’s children.
There is nothing wrong with admitting our mistakes and sorting things out.
TREASURE
That we can apologise for the mistakes we make and put things right.
