Bits and bobs

I thought that today I would write about bits and bobs.  They are little things you know or have learned for some reason or other.  You may remember HOW you discovered that, or you might have forgotten completely.  But it doesn’t matter which.

In the last few days I was watching a Martha Stewart online programme.  And one of the things she said was that if you have geese guarding chickens they do an excellent job.  Well I never!  She even offered two to a lady who is trying to live more sustainably.

I had known in the past that Rolls Royce made and continue to make engines that are put on specific aeroplanes.  And I think they said that they had the biggest jet engine discovery lab in the world - or at least the UK.

Do you know, sometimes I think it’s sad that we have “lost” so many things that were known or done in previous generations but on the other hand, we know and can do so much more to protect our world that wasn’t known by them.

Writing is, of course, part of me and always will be.  I can’t NOT write when I need to because relaxation or sleeping becomes impossible.  I’ve been talking to some other people and they are creatives, too and they agree.

As creatives, we all need our “safe” place to create from.  Now for me that’s either my chair or my bed.  And my ipad or iphone are always near me so that I can write whenever the inspiration strikes so I get it down there and then.

Having said that, being in hospital, as long as I am in a single room with a toilet, or a small group of four that I get on with, I can continue to pour out my thoughts.  And when I sprained the fingers on my right hand, speaking into an ipad or iphone really WASN’T the same at all.

I hope you are enjoying my new burst of inspiration and that you find some of what I share with you fascinating.  And, as always, you are always free to contact me any way you like.

Love and blessings to you all
