Believe in Yourself
It has been interesting watching the Olympics and hearing all the Commentators and the subjects they choose to consider. And this one is an essential one. Because as they point out, you can know everything you need to do and the order you need to do it in, but that it stops. It can’t lead you to the belief in yourself, either.
So then, let me see, belief in yourself is one of the ingredients you need to become an Olympian. Doing the work, believing in yourself and actually getting an Olympic medal, these are all certain ingredients needed for you to be successful.
But even with all these things in place, you still need the right training gear, get sponsors etc and then turn up at the right time. You have to believe you can make it when you need it. Some people say, this is still not all that is needed for your entry into great Olympians.
You don’t become a great composer, in two songs. You have to put years into it and know what instruments are the best to carry whatever mood you are intending to bring together. I’m not saying that you would have to learn exactly how to play the particular interest. Because you don’t need to, but you need to know every instrument you use intimately and that takes time and study.
Or even becoming a writer as great as Shakespeare doesn’t happen in the first couple of plays you write. It takes pride and belief in yourself and dedication, but it ALSO needs that “extra something” that turns you into what you wish to be. You have to be willing to say no to yourself and sometimes your family. Wishing does not equate to being able the Poet Laureate. In fact there was this Scottish man, that believed he was and tried to go to Windsor Castle to join Queen Victoria and was turned back at the gates..
So we can see there are many facets of becoming an Olympian, but to become the top, there is that elusive element inside you need to possess as well.
