Unusual things

Are there times you see something and you think “”yeah, that won’t work” or “come on, seriously, show me something sensible!”  Your disbelief is palpable and you really aren’t sure about it.

But, to discover something new you have to do something different.  And you have to have the courage of your convictions and be willing to make mistakes along the way and not get discouraged.   Not the place where I am at the moment.  But as the saying goes “you can’t bake a cake without breaking some eggs.”

And yes, you’ve probably guessed by this time I am going to say something about some kind of cooking or baking.  You would be right about that!  

Well, I was watching the tv and saw Prue Leith talk about the fact she was just removing her mayonnaise chocolate cakes out the oven.  WHAT?  Mayonnaise?  Of all the things in the world!

So I went online and found a recipe and the mayonnaise takes the place of the butter and eggs in the recipe.  Well!  I didn’t see THAT coming!  

Many recipes were and are discovered by mistake.  So don’t be ashamed to make an attempt at something and it all goes wrong.  Maybe, in the way it happens, you can discover something new.  You don’t know until you try.
