Unexpected Happenings

Do you find unexpected happenings a bit (I don’t know) disturbing or exciting or do you “take them in your stride” as I heard when I was young?

Sometimes a little bit of curiosity is the beginning of the event.  I know the saying goes “Curiosity killed the cat” but fortunately for me I am NOT a cat.

Thinking back, I believe Kevin joined me to Facebook in 2009, while I still lived in Renfrew, or it might have been after we got married.  I can’t remember, but anyway, close to the time I moved to Scotland.

I was in Messenger, looking at a photo (of the people you know along the top) and I thought “that doesn’t look like Elaine (my professional organiser).  I wonder who THAT Elaine is.”

So I decided to read a bit of our past conversation.  And, surprise, surprise, I was talking about writing - in 2017!  I was toying with the idea of looking at self publishing but quite frankly I was nowhere near that then.

And you know what?  It’s great when you can find/chat to people that you knew in your past and still have things to talk about!  Well, writing never grows old, does it?  And it shows me that Kevin was right all those years ago when he told me I was a writer. I AM a discovery writer.

So why not give it a try when you next have a little bit of curiosity about something and see if you discover something new?
