Oh my goodness me!

I want to talk about a couple of things today.  It’s surprising for the two of them.  So I guess I’d better get on with the telling you.  I just want to let you know that the two things are both medical issues.

One of them is concerning some medication prescribed to me.  Well, I specifically asked the doctor to check my allergens because I have quite a few to different kinds of medication.  Well, she went out of the room (I assumed to check) and when I started to use the stuff had a very bad reaction.  Then I spoke to one of the doctors who told me that actually the medication had some antibiotic that was on my list of medications as me being allergic to some years ago.

Well, it could easily have been much worse than it was but because I am getting to realise when allergies are being stirred, I was able to counteract most of the effects even though it took quite a few days.  Thank God I was able to save the situation once I knew what the problem was.

Now it comes down to the fact that even if the doctor HAD got it wrong (which they did) knowing the amount of allergies I have I should have checked it before with my own doctor AND the pharmacy.  I didn’t realise it was another name so…..

PLEASE, please, please be sure you check every little detail on medication BEFORE you take them or give them to your child if either of you are allergic to ANYTHING!  Fact is, if it HAD gone badly, it could have killed me.  Thank God I was able to reverse the effect quickly myself.  I’m telling you, my readers, that this is a SERIOUS thing and VERY important.  You don’t want this to happen.

I now know that I need to get medication that’s prescribed to me checked first, BEFORE I use/take it.  But when they get it right it’s great!
