News in a Nutshell

Well yes, here I am still in hospital as you have no doubt guessed judging by the lack of posts last week. I will admit last week wasn’t great for me.

You see, Johnathan was sick at home and at one point it looked like he might have had to go into hospital, but a different one to me. I thankfully after missing a week of school, he was able to return today without any trouble.

More news? Doctor is changing medication around and while doing so it is better that I am here anyway so they can monitor me at the same time, while keeping me as pain free as possible.

Kevin is coping really well without me and wasn’t phased by having to deal with Johnathan being sick while he was trying to do everything else.

I have been reading lots of books and thoroughly enjoying the experience of using the kindle app although it does appear amusing to see Kevin’s reading list for work and mine being so vastly different!

I am sharing a room with three lovely ladies and have had great medical care in this different hospital. They are very thorough and I am actually glad to have such a pleasant experience in a four bedded ward.

Yes, you’re right, I have been thinking about figuring out how I want my book writing to go. I realise I have been reading people who are proficient writers and have won awards for their work.

I, on the other hand, have just been teetering on the edge of creating something myself. I think it’s going to require a different type of courage and some patience and ability to keep everything true to each character within the book.

But you know what? I know I have it in me, and it’s just figuring out how I want do it. Of course being ill doesn’t help but I know I will get there.

TREASURE

Finding courage to figure out the way that suits me best to write books is not only positive but is something I can do. Are you facing something you haven’t yet found the courage for too? I would love to hear from you.

Saw physio today. She says she understands that I REALLY want to get home. She got me standing with this thing that you put your forearms on and then it can be set to where it stands you up straight. The left leg responds to what I want it to do but there is a miscommunication with the right leg. She is going to get the OT involved with my care and see if they can organise daily care on a temporary basis until I am much better.

Forgot to say the left leg is fine but the right leg is as temperamental as it has been since the fall. I think they are trying to prepare the for home because she thinks I will need support when I return because they need to see how I function in the house and what goes wrong with transfers there and being able to make myself/family/animals food and drink etc. so it’s a joint attack from two departments…..
