New Word And Other Things

Some weeks ago I hadn’t been feeling great for some time and (if you’re a regular reader) you’ll know the word – smallerise.  I had realised that I was getting it wrong but it took the fancy of the whole family and we even were joking that the dog was going for smallerisation at the groomers.

I don’t know if you know what it is like to begin thinking you’re losing your mind, but it’s a horrible, nasty thing to experience and I hope you never do!  If I had been thinking straight I would have got the doctors to check to see if I had any infections.  But I looked at the fact my temp was normal.

And do you know what?  I really thought I was in the early stages of dementia so the signs that would normally tell me I had a bladder infection!  This didn’t help me much, or my anxiety and depression.  But you know what?  We found the problem and have finally fixed it!

We need to focus on the good things, when we can.  And I have some fantastic news to share – Kevin handed his notice in on Friday and will be working for a smallish company here in Renfrew!  Cuts out the expense of taxis is more money so yes, I was perfectly happy to agree to him taking the job.

And now my writing seems to be beginning to take off…ok, I have had good weeks and not so good weeks, but on the whole my readership is going up.  I was told to remember that grief didn’t come in a straight line but fits and starts.  I’m beginning to wonder if it’s the same for everything in life?  What do you think?

TREASURE

Kevin’s new job of course.  I am so delighted for him that it has given him quite a boost.  He seems much more confident and settled in the thought of this new job.  Normally I would expect to feel some concern about it, but I felt totally calm and confident and that it is the right move for him to make in his career.  Exciting times are ahead people!
