Mental Health Week

Hey Everyone, I am writing to remind you that this week is Mental Health Week.  Johnathan is getting involved in the school things via mental health and is going to be focusing on moving.

I will be sending you messages about caring for your mental health.  Personally I feel it is more than people even imagine.  And when you’ve suffered depression, fatigue and anxiety for many years, you don’t get over it by not thinking about it, or not mentioning it or whatever excuse is given to you.

Have you ever heard the saying that the stomach is the brains of the digestive system?  If that is true my mental health needs all the help it is getting.

So think about your own and someone else’s mental health as well this week.  And maybe think about calling someone who is lonely once a week or send them a cheerful letter?

Mental health is an important subject, so give it the respect it deserves and teach your children about it too.  And remind them that mental health is not JUST about one week in the year - for the person it’s a daily battle and if you can make it easier for them, they will be lifted up and feel somewhat better.
