Compassion in business

There are so many businesses in the world.  And I believe that in every one of them they need to be compassionate.  Yes, of course they need to get done whatever job it is, but still remain with that open-heartedness.

I am pretty sure I have told you that I love to watch the bridal shows like “Say Yes to the Dress” and “Curvy Brides Boutique.”  And many times I end up in tears because of the compassion that is shown to the brides as they begin the process of choosing a dress.

Watching people on the television showing compassion is beautiful.  Truly amazing.  But in real life?  When I am surrounded by others?  Making compassion part of my existence in my workplace can change the way I see life itself.  But can I do this from only sitting at my chair?

Absolutely.  I can ask questions of those people I know.  I can see how their lives or work day is going.  With different areas of their lives I can see where they need compassion and I can provide it.

I suppose the real question is “Can YOU show compassion to people in your business, work and life?”
