Anika’s Thoughts of the week 7
Well, what on earth can I pick out today? I saw a television show where the husband was meant to go out and get people to come in and he just couldn’t do it. I felt SO SORRY for him/
It reminded of a time, YEARS ago - gosh, let me think - must have bee in my 20s or early 30’s, I actually went to the town with some leaflets to give out. The first two women smiled at me and took the leaflet from me.
The second person said no and I just turned on my heel and I ran back to the office, and told them I just couldn’t do it. They told me that you had to be a certain type of personality to do that kind of thing and not get upset at one person saying no to them and I obviously wasn’t one of them.
I don’t know if I told you but when I was due to leave school I really was’r sure what to do. I had looked at nursing children but as I am short and I already had a bad back, so then I looked at other things and am now writing. It has taken me 50 years….so don’t knock it (lol).
This last week I have been doing some book writing and have been really enjoying writing a book idea that I had even forgotten about! AND I took Johnathan for his dentist appointment. The new dentist was brilliant with Johnathan and allowed him to play with the tools and spouts and whatever was there. She also let him and I see the x-rays she had taken.
TREASURE
Taking Johnathan to the dentist was a MASSIVE ACHIEVEMENT for me. So am REALLY glad I managed to do it.
