SMI-LE

Smiling is an extremely important activity in life.  Apparently it takes less muscles than it does to frown.  Having said that, on my wedding day I smiled so much my face hurt on both sides of my mouth!

I think I told you some time back that Johnathan created a really lovely piece of music.  Both Kevin and I told him it was brilliant and he had one of what I think of as his “special smiles” where his whole face seems to light up.

Actually, talking of his “special smile,” Mr Bonnar, the deputy head of the school was round our house with the nurse that sees Johnathan.  They were going through things with us and reassuring us all that we were all doing the right thing.

Something was said that made Johnathan give one of his “special smiles” out and Mr Bonnar said “my goodness Johnathan!  I haven’t seen that special smile of yours ONCE since the start of this year!  It’s so lovely to see it again.”

I will admit, that smile is GORGEOUS!  Unfortunately, also it is rarely seen.  But if we can get some happiness and joy back into his life that might make his infectious smile return many a time and help others around him.
