Rainbows and Easter

You might think this is a weird combination to be talking about to you.  But there was a beautifully clear rainbow this week that Kevin took a photo of and I’m sharing with you today.

To me, rainbows speak of hope and the future and assurance for that future.  When I was pregnant with Johnathan, I saw rainbows often.  You see, he is our rainbow baby, born after four losses.

And I don’t know if you remember but her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II spoke an Easter message in times of Covid about holding onto the Easter hope.

Spring is a time of renewal and joy.  It is a time when plants and trees come to life again.  And not only that it is when many animals are born, too.  For me, it feels a magical time where we can see the beauty of the world becoming renewed.

So, as we carry on and live our lives, let us remember the hope that is in creation during the spring time and the beauty of rainbows and the joy it brings to many families as they greet their rainbow babies.
